He’s an improviser, composer, media systems designer and music curator resident in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

His career has been developed around different artistic areas with a special emphasis in acoustic, electroacoustic and experimental music. His catalog includes works for solo instrument, ensemble, mixed media, guided improvisation, installation, performance, film and various performing arts. His works had been presented in 18 countries within the official program of different festivals, conferences and symposia about music and sound art mainly. His most significant professors are; Electroacoustic music with Roberto Morales, José Luis Castillo composition. (1996-2001) Sound Art and programming Åke Parmerud (1999-2006)

As Media designer he had worked on applications for real-time interaction, like Moz-art.Global.Sound-art, a platform for audio-visual collective improvisation over the internet.

In 2009 he developed Simple-GriD at Instrumenta Oaxaca, along with Miller Puckette, creator of MAX/MSP and PD, Valdes’s main programing platforms. His longer application project has been Arenero, since 2010 the software has been used as a creative application for the free improvisation for musicians, soundartists and aficionados.

Also founder member of the research group for electroacoustic music at the University of Guanajuato LIM (Laboratorio de Informática Musical), directed by Roberto Morales from 1996 to 2001. Worked for the Guanajuato’s Symphony Orchestra between 2001 and 2004 under the direction of José Luis Castillo. At Instrumenta Oaxaca as artistic coordinator and later artistic director from 2007 to 2012.

Teacher of programming at the University of Guanajuato (digital arts) 2007-2009. Resident Teacher at ESAY in Mérida, Yucatán (2004-2011).

Based since 2011 in Ljubljana, he has worked for most of the local NGO’s related to electronic art and music, as well governmental institutions like Ljubljana University and Cankarjev Dom. Started to label art-related activities as BlueSound Hub since 2016 organizing concerts and workshops in co-productions, aiming to have an independent sound-research studio in the near future, where multichannel sound interaction can be studied, practice and researched.
He is a part of a group formed in a research Cycle Sluhodvod. He will curate program of concert cycle Zvokotok in 2020.
