Choreographer and performer Nina Fajdiga (1979, Ljubljana)
graduated atTheaterschool – School for New Dance Development (SNDO) in
Amsterdam in 2007. In 2006 she was awarded a most promising young
choreographer by Amsterdam’s ITS festival. Her works (Debris, Sugar
Rush, About Nina Simone, … and call me Antonia, ect.) have been
supported by European Cultural Foundation, Slovenian Ministry of
culture, produced and co-produced by European dance production houses
(DWA Amsterdam, Huis an de Werf Utrecht, La Caldera Barcelona, Tanzhaus
Zurich…) and shown in various international dance festivals.
She
is a certified teacher of Flying Low and Passing through dance
techniques, developed by David Zambrano, with whom she has worked and
toured for 10 years - performing Soul Project. She is teaching at the
Art Gymnasium in Ljubljana and other dance spaces and companies
internationally (En Knap, Ljubljana; The Place, London; Royal Dance
Academy, Glasgow...). Next to stage production she has been
choreographing for Slovenian national drama theatres, in art and music
videos, TV commercials and site-specific happenings.
Nina
is currently collaborating with choreographer Clarice Lima on project
Bosque/Woods, which is supported by the European Big Pulse Dance
Alliance.
In the year 2023 she is curating a Zavod Sploh cycle (Ne)forma.
