Public Aword at Europa Film Festival:
Experimental short film where family, life, experiences form a very powerful and attractive collage. Story of many stories. Life in its fullness and dynamism. Originality and naturalness united. And enormous expre4ssiveness and creativity in each scene that we can enjoy. The public has decided to give him this award. The public is wise. Well, it's a unique film. Marvelous!

Honorable Mention, Best Documentary at Eastrn Europe Film Festival

The "Cinema Libre" prize, curated by Albedo aps, Malatesta short film festival
For the ability and the courage to transform the intimate testimony of an irreparable loss into a dense work of life, characterized by total freedom of stylistic expression. Thanks to the very personal and touching work of reworking family photographs, the film strikes the perfect balance between home movies and artistic expression. Under the witchcraft of a musical score, the opera orchestrates different tracks of memory, including photos, family films, stop motion animations, frames of musical executions and reflections on memory and love as in a musical performance.

In an ordinary emotional relationship, memory is that dead void from the past which can cause us troubles. On the contrary, in unconditional love, the void of memory keeps us in touch with our loved ones. The absence of memory fills the void with sounds and images stored in time and space. A message from the past is the time on the answering machine that still goes by. A photograph is a seemingly motionless time, but which is now able to slide backwards. And make a film. And in this film, love is the one that can hardly wait for you. Love is the one you promised you would come back.
Primož Čučnik

What is the difference between a family film, even so difficult, and an artistic expression, even so difficult? The difference is that the former remains in the family album forever, and the latter goes down in the history of artistic interventions in time. The film by Tomaž Grom “Can't Wait for You to Come” is an artistic expression. Not only because he expresses himself with this film as a proven music creator, but because, when faced with the challenge of confronting a heavy loss, he is in fact radically faced with the medium he uses to express himself. How come picture and sound don’t go together? Why is a mute tape the most eloquent sometimes? How can I evoke not only a memory but also the future by screening a past image? These are all the questions that the film gives answers to in an extremely intimate way. See you.
