Tomaž Grom composed music for six poems of Tone Pavček, who was one of the most
influential Slovenian poets, translators and essayists from the first post-war
generation. All six songs was added rich imagination and color note, by which
the songs was drawn closer to children. Each song was translated into one of
the foreign languages (Japanese, Albanian, Danish, Romanian, Russian and
Macedonian). All the songs were published on a CD in co-production od Zavod
Sploh and Mladinska knjiga (Slovenian largest publishing house) with support of
Ministry of Culture of Republic of Slovenia and Atelje Galerija.
- In 2008 in Vienna the CD received the Erasmus EuroMedia Seal and thereby was
confirmed as the educational media that raise the quality of discourse about
European values, history and ideas.
- EUROPE Vox festival in Paris (France) had ranked one of the songs – Pogumna
Lenka (Courageous Lenka) as the only representative from Slovenia in its
compilation of 2008.
- By reference of music editorial board of Radio Student the CD Sun and
sunflowers was ranked as 5th best music products in 2008 in Republic of
Slovenia.
